I would go back here if for nothing but the view! Best view on the lake. Service is always above and beyond. Food is really good. I am partial to the crab cakes. A little pricey but worth it.

Service was very good for happy hour Drink was good as well Pot stickers, boom boom shrimp and fish n chips were 3 star. 4 star overall cuz the service and the bar

We love dining out when we visit the lake, and more that Blue Heron is gone, we looked for a replacement for our "go-to" nice dinner out location. This might be it! The staff and ambiance is upscale and the quality of the food is to match. It over looks the lake from up on a bluff, a beautiful view. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the drinks were tasty, service was top-notch..... we will definitely be back!!

Loved the view with this place! Great Lake view with the bridge! There were a couple room options to choose from to sit! Sadly we missed the piano performance that was setting up to start, but I'm sure it was lovely. I love that they offer live performances like that! The waiter we had was very kind, she recommended something for the kids and made sure our drinks were filled! The food was to die for. My mother ordered a chicken, mushroom, creamy pasta (I forgot the name of it) but it was so good! I ordered the fish and chips and the cod was perfectly crispy! The sauce and jalapeño hush puppies were the best mixture for your taste buds!!! The only thing was I think they did put a rush on the kids burgers which was great until it came out and we realized the burger was still pink when we needed it to be well done. Other than that everything was perfect!!

We had dinner as a family at JB's while on vacation for Thanksgiving. They had an extensive menu. We ordered the jalapeño bacon wrapped poppers and bam bam shrimp. The poppers were spicy! Good but too spicy for me to eat. The bam bam shrimp was ok. It needed more sauce in my opinion. My grandkids had the kids burger sliders. We had asked them for well done, they definitely came to us medium. I ordered the chicken penne pasta, which was delicious. No complaints there accept I couldn't eat it all! The restaurant was pretty. Different areas of dining were nice and they even had live music, albeit it was about to start as soon as we were leaving. And the view, was perfect. Hanging cliffside over looking the lake, lovely spot!

Great views, beautiful renovated dining area. Multiple areas to dine depending on what vibe you want. Sporty on one side, more elegant on the other. We went for happy hour on the sporty side. Had beef sliders, was a little sparse with the meat. The margarita was not exactly what I had hoped for, I would stick with a beer or wine next visit. I will return to try the other side, which is more upscale and has its own bar that is new and pretty. Great property and nice to have options! The wait staff was very nice and friendly

Decided to have Our annual vacation, romantic dinner at JB Hooks. We were immediately seated as we had reservations and started out with the baked oyster on the half shell, they were very tasty, cheesy, and a good hint saltiness. My espresso 43 was like a sweet iced coffee cocktail. I decided to splurge and get the 1lb lobster tail with the sides of BLT wedge salad ranch style and their seasonal veggies. Our season server Johnny did a great job providing us great service and his history with JB hooks. The lobster was the star of the show as it should be for the hefty market price have $125. Overall memorable experience with an attentive server, lakeside seating, and a delicious meal.

JB Hooks is a staple if you're at the Lake of The Ozarks. The beautiful views over the lake is wonderful, & you may even catch a glimpse of Mahomes' new build Start off with an espresso martini or even an old fashioned, then move your way to the menu. Plenty to choose from whether you're a steak & potato kinda person or if you prefer seafood- there are great options to choose from! Our waitress was amazing, she was tentative on making sure we had drinks full & refilled & giving us the specials of the night. I'd recommend making your reservation in advance because it books out pretty quick. Give JB Hooks a try next time you're around!

Great spot! This place is expansive. Tons of seating and a great bar- all looking over the water. We stopped in for dinner over Memorial Day weekend and we had impeccable service. Everyone was very knowledgeable and we were waited on hand and foot. Beautiful views too! For entrees I had the orange roughie, my friend had the ahi tuna and another had steak. They all come with salad and soup and a side. I had their house salad which was to die for and a twice baked potato. Both incredible. Food came out promptly and portions were large. Fantastic place for a date or special occasion. Highly recommend!!
